Biography

Barbara Martin Coppola is a CEO, Board Member, public speaker, and humanitarian who firmly believes in business as a force for good. She brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience spanning 3 continents and 5 different industries.

Being a purpose-driven leader, Barbara is committed to creating value for society while respecting the planet. Recognised by Fortune Magazine as one of ‘Most Powerful Women in Business’ and appointed as a Knight of the National Order of Merit by the President of France, she champions international cooperation and diversity in business.

Barbara brings a wealth of international experience in technology, digital transformation, and consumer industries. She has held leadership roles at global companies including Samsung, Google, Texas Instruments and IKEA, driving strategic growth and major transformations. From 2022, Barbara served as the CEO of Decathlon, the world’s largest sports retailer. She led the company’s evolution with a focus on purpose, sustainability, and innovation. Barbara currently serves on the Board of INSEAD, the Business School for the World.

Barbara has a Master’s in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, a Master’s in Mobile Engineering from ENST Paris, an MBA from INSEAD and also followed an Advanced Management program at Harvard Business School.

Outside of work, Barbara loves to stay active through dance classes, and is also passionate about exploring the world. Above all, she values time with her husband and two children, whether making memories on family adventures or enjoying everyday moments together.
